Biographical Description: Dr. Capobianchi is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, where he joined the faculty in the fall of 1996. He received his BE (1981), MS (1991), and PhD (1996) in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, the latter specializing in the thermal sciences.  His total professional experience includes nearly ten years in professional practice principally in the military electronics field, and more than twenty years as faculty in academia.  He has published research papers in the areas of non-Newtonian fluid mechanics and heat transfer, in measurements of transport properties, and in coupled electro-thermal modeling of electronics.
