Community Civic Leadership Trainer: West Side Leadership Training Initiative. University of Utah's University Neighborhood Partners (UNP), Salt Lake Neighborhood Housing Services (SLNHS) and the Salt Lake City's Weed and See Program partnership to create a long-term project designed to support development of local resident leadership in inner city Salt Lake City.

Administrative & Program Development Experience

·         NICU Clinical and Program Coordinator: Researched and developed clinical and demographic patient data tracking method. Developed instrument to measure patient and family satisfaction based on needs assessment and benchmarking methods. Collaborated with ancillary medical partners and community stakeholders to meet the needs of families and patients.

·         NICU Supervisor and Team Leader of Family Centered Care Initiative: Strategically plan, design, and collaborate with community partners to centralize medical and social services for patients and families. Organized qualitative measures and facilitated procedures to gather needs assessment data and information from staff and families to more efficiently and effectively meet organizational fiscal goals and specifically needs of patients and families. Implemented methods to set measurable goals that indicate fidelity of program and to further inform principles of the intended initiative. Represented clinical discipline in committees assigned to prepare, measure, and evaluate JCAHO compliance.

·         Pediatric Forensic Team: Family counselor representative for medical child abuse investigative team. Multidiscipline team coordinated to collaborate on child abuse cases, present evidence, decide and construct plan of action. Developed community and stakeholder partnerships through involvement in decision-making and recommendations regarding placement, kinship care, training and education, with the overall goal of reunifying families.

·         NICU Academic Field Supervisor: supervised and trained graduate level students on clinical intervention, program and organizational development, and evaluation.

·         Employee trainer: trained new social work employees in job specific duties and professional expectations within the hospital setting.

·         Clinical trainer and educator for NICU nurses: directed and presented psychosocial training with emphasis on crisis intervention, bereavement counseling, clinical intervention skills with children and families and family centered care initiatives.
