Professional Experience

Director of Guitar Education department at the Experience Music Project in Seattle: Beginning Guitar, Intermediate Guitar, to Jazz and Blues Guitar master classes. While at the EMP, Ryan was selected to run the Young Jazz Composers Program. This program was sponsored by the Black Entertainment Channel.

Previous faculty member at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle: Accompanist for the vocal jazz department.

Previous faculty member/clinician for the National Guitar Workshop. Ryan was selected by a committee to teach for this nationally accredited educational workshop. Taught both in a classroom setting, as well as in a master class setting. He has also been approached by Alfred Publishing to possibly write some material for the National Guitar Workshop.

Ryan also lived in New York City, where he had the opportunity to study and work with some of the finest musicians on the scene today…including Rodney Jones and Peter Bernstein.

Ryan has been featured on National Public Radio as an “up and coming artist to keep an eye on”.
