Dr. Bormann brings a variety of experience to his academic position. He spent 10 years in consulting engineering with development and water resources projects before completing his Ph.D. in 1988. The projects included river stability, groundwater modeling, flood studies, drainage design and permafrost interaction with stream and shallow groundwater. Projects he contributed to are located in Colorado, California, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Washington, Idaho, Alaska, Tinian, Colombia, and Africa. His research interests include water resources, risk analysis, sustainability and environmental issues.
Dr. Bormann is currently licensed as a PE in Colorado, Washington, Idaho and California.
