David Fague
Professional Experience
David Fague began his professional playing career in the Spokane Jazz Orchestra in 1997 while still attending Gonzaga University. He also played regularly around Spokane in the Sharp Five Jazztet and other ensembles.
While at the University of North Texas, David played and recorded in several ensembles including the UNT Jazz Singers, the Jazz Repertory Band, Classical Saxophone Quartets, the UNT Two O’clock Lab Band, the Grammy nominated UNT One O’clock Lab Band, and other professional big bands/combos around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
During his time at UNT, he had the pleasure of performing with world renowned jazz musicians including Chris Potter and Bob Brookmeyer.
David also spent two summers performing in Disney’s All-American College Band where he backed musicians such as John Clayton, Shelley Berg, Bill Watrous, and Gary Foster.
After finishing his Masters degree in jazz studies from UNT, David rejoined the Gonzaga University Music Department taking over as Director of Jazz Studies as well as heading up the Gonzaga Pep Band.
