Biographical Description: Peter McKenny is Director of the Graduate Transmission and Distribution Engineering Program. His responsibilities include directing development of graduate level engineering courses for professional engineers in the T&D industry, in addition to engineering professionals transferring to T&D related design activities from other fields. Prior to joining Gonzaga University Peter was the Team Leader responsible for substation and transmission line design in the Green Bay, WI, office of the American Transmission Company (ATC). Peter also has experience in the design and manufacture of power transformers, having worked as the Electrical Design Manager and Development Engineer at Waukesha Electric Systems in Waukesha, WI.

Dr. McKenny is Chairman of GU’s undergraduate Engineering Management Program and teaches junior/senior level  power courses in the Electrical Engineering Program. He is a member of the American Society of Engineering Management (ASEM) and a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
