Have conducted a pilot multi-case study examining the role and function of ethnicity and its' relationship to effective cultural pedagogical practice. This was an inquiry into how American Indian teachers define and enact their roles as teachers with respect to ethnicity and college teacher training. How do American Indian teachers behave in the classroom and are there any culturally based pedagogical implications to their classroom behavior? To what extent are American Indian teachers successful with American Indian students? In addition, I have conducted evaluation research with a national service organization regarding Adult Children Of Alcoholic (ACOA) educational and prevention issues. The research findings resulted in a series of policy recommendations and service delivery improvements.
